The latest accredited climate science reports state that climate change is happening and occurring faster than predicted by UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Knowing that the climate will   change to an even greater extent in the future and that the potential economic and social consequences may be quite severe, the Nordic insurance and pension industry wishes to share its true concern and turn words into action according to its business.

During this conference, the Nordic insurance and pension industry will therefore communicate up-to-date knowledge on climate change and its impact on and significance to the industry. The industry will bring central problems faced by it to debate and create an index of ideas on how insurers in the Nordic region can adapt their business to the realities of climate change and how they can play a proactive role in reducing the potentially economic and social consequences caused by climate change.
