Nordic collaboration

The Nordic Insurance Climate Collaboration was strengthened at the first Nordic climate conference in Stockholm on 8 April 2008.

The aim of the Nordic Climate Collaboration is to show that the Nordic insurance industry takes the climate challenges seriously, and that we are prepared to participate and make a great effort in order to counteract climate change and its consequences.

The insurance industry is in a good position to contribute both with reducing the emission of CO2 and the consequences of the climate change via adaptation.

Consequently, the Nordic Insurance Climate Collaboration wishes to share knowledge, create a forum for the discussions within the industry and create a solid professional basis for our own and our members' actions. Vis-à-vis customers, partners and authorities, we wish to focus on relevant climate problems and the possible solutions to these problems, as well as to contribute to the creation of the solutions in an efficient and concrete manner.
