The objective of the climate conference is to demonstrate that the Nordic insurance and pension industry is aware of the climate changes and that the industry will contribute to specific solutions in order to reduce CO2-emmissions and thereby limit the consequences of climate change. The Nordic platform is supported by the chosen themes and speakers.
In order to create a constructive debate and facilitate fruitful discussions during the day we are proud to present a highly qualified panel of experts in consumer behaviour, organizational development and economics as well as business specialists from the insurance and pension industry.
In the morning two main topics will be discussed forming the foundation of workshops in the afternoon:
- The possibilities and challenges for non-life insurance companies in supplying products and solutions which benefit the climate.
- The possibilities and challenges for life and pension companies in connection with socially responsible investments – hereunder the possibility of taking climate considerations in connection with making investment choices.
In the afternoon two interactive workshops will take place for the non-life insurance and life and pension sectors respectively identifying barriers and finding solutions to problems and challenges that the two sectors are facing.
By the end of the conference five leading representatives from the Nordic insurance and pension industry will present their views on climate change and reflect and conclude on the conference day.
